Certificate of absence of HIV infection: sample
HIV infection is one of the most common viral diseases in the modern world. The peculiarity of this infection is that the virus is aimed at damaging cells of the immune system (T-lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, Langerhans cells). Cell damage, in turn, leads to a significant decrease in the body's defenses.
A certificate of absence of HIV infection is required upon admission to a hospital (as a mandatory test), upon admission to work, study and sports clubs. Especially when work involves contact with biological fluids (blood, urine, saliva, surgical interventions, and so on).
What do you need to know?
First, it is necessary to give a definition. A certificate of absence of HIV infection is an official medical document containing data on the patient’s health status, namely, the presence/absence of the human immunodeficiency virus.
There is no single sample of certificates confirming the absence of HIV infection, so they vary depending on the clinic. The certificate of absence of HIV infection includes the following information:
- last name, first name and patronymic (if desired, the research can be done anonymously);
- name of the referring institution;
- patient serial number;
- test system used to determine the virus antigen;
- date and doctor's signature.
Often patients do not see the point in such analysis. Because for a long time the infection proceeds without manifestation. Is it possible to die from HIV infection? Yes, definitely.
Features of the action | |
Target of the virus | — immune cells, on the surface of which CD-4 receptors are present; |
Deadline for death from disease | - from 9 to 11 years; |
Source of infection | - sexual contact, blood transfusions, contact with damaged mucous membranes and biological fluids; |
Causes of death | - infections caused by both pathological and conditionally pathological microorganisms (which are normally present in humans). |
Where can I get a certificate?
You can obtain a certificate of absence of HIV infection from the following organizations:
- Dermatovenerological dispensary;
- state and non-state AIDS centers where you can undergo research anonymously and free of charge;
- network laboratory services that specialize in collecting all types of tests;
- city and central district hospitals, where you can do the analysis free of charge, with a doctor’s referral, and for a fee.
In addition, there are mobile laboratories that donate blood for infection using a rapid test anonymously and free of charge.
How is the analysis done?
Before receiving a certificate of absence of HIV infection, you need to prepare for the test and donate blood to the laboratory.
Blood must be donated in procedural, specially equipped conditions. The best period is from 8 to 11 am. It is necessary that at least 6 hours pass between eating and taking a portion of blood. The day before, it is not recommended to eat fatty and sweet foods.
In addition, you should give up strong coffee, tea and smoking for 1 or 2 days. If all the conditions have been met, the result will be as accurate as possible, and the certificate of HIV infection will carry the correct meaning.
How long is the certificate valid?
The certificate of absence of HIV infection is valid for 3 months from the date of receipt. This must be taken into account when submitting documents to certain places. For example, if you submit documents that have been analyzed for more than 3 months, you may need to retake the analysis.
The analysis takes approximately 2-3 days to prepare, depending on the laboratory. The cost in paid institutions is not standardized by the state and can vary greatly.
A sample certificate of HIV infection can be viewed and reviewed at the medical organization.
